Sampling techniques
Available sampling techniques include:
- Terminal blood / plasma / serum, bile, cerebrospinal fluid and most tissues (eg. brain, liver, lungs, heart, muscle, sciatic nerve, dorsal root ganglia, retina etc)
- Serial blood / plasma / serum via cannulated jugular (JVC), femoral (FVC) or hepatic portal vein (HPV) (rat only)
- Serial blood / plasma / serum via tail vein (rat or mouse)
- Serial bile (rat only)
- Flexible timepoints (including out-of-hours)
Metabolism and Excretion
We provide:
- Bile serial sampling (rat only)
- First pass metabolism and hepatic extraction ratio determination, via HPV sampling
- Dual JVC and HPV or bile duct cannulation available for concurrent serial sampling (rat only)
- Urine and faeces collection by conducting studies in metabolic cages (samples frozen immediately)
